Victory Comes through Praise
His victory is birthed through praise. It is in worship and as we enter into proclaiming His goodness that we begin to separate out what is and what is to be. God will show us the next step, and God will avenge His enemies, when He has opportunity to receive glory.
The poor pauper, whose eyes are on his lack, has difficulty receiving hope that things will ever change for him. The prisoner in bondage, whose focus is on his chains, struggles to believe that freedom is really meant for him. The slave, who is intent on earning his own salvation, is not positioned to receive the Father’s unconditional love.
However, a son of God who fears the Lord, his eyes are fixed on the King. He worships the King who is worthy of praise. He will acknowledge freely in His heart that the King gives and that He also takes away. He is already praising the King for what is to come…even for the dry seasons.
Victory comes through praise.
A heart who fears the Lord will give Him glory.
The Lord has already chosen to avenge His enemies. He may be waiting for you to acknowledge His holiness and His power, presence, and glory.
What does that speak to you? Will you praise Him when you do not know the future? Or will you wait to thank Him until you see the breakthrough in the storm?
When He looks on you, does He find a heart that is ready to honor Him? Or does He find one who is still building their own kingdom?
